Nassau County Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged

Dear Mr. Russo,

Victory Challenge

On behalf of the Games staff, the Coaches, the teachers, the families and most of all the athletes that participated in the Nassau County Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged on May 30 – June 1, 2019, we sincerely thank you for your generous sponsorship and support of the Games.

It is due to the generosity of the local community and major sponsors such as the Theresa Alessandra Russo Foundation that the many athletes, coaches, family and friends were able to enjoy a weekend of sports, competition, smiles and laughter. Over 1200 athletes reunited with friends from across the State, who they only get to see once a year, here at the Games. Your support helped to keep this tradition going for a 35th year!

The Games provide a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction to each athlete who has trained to compete and the dedicated volunteers a reason to continue to come back year after year. We applaud each sponsor, volunteer, coach and family member who contributed to make the Games possible for these inspirational young athletes.

It is indeed public-private partnerships like these that provide a new model for community-building and economic revitalization, and we commend your collective leadership.

Thank you, again, for your support for the Nassau County Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged! We look forward to working with you again in preparation for the 2020 Games.

Thank you for making a difference in the life of so many physically challenged children.

Sincerely,
Susan Maxwell
Games Director
